7 Days :: 3 :: the pacific

It’s really quite convenient that this 7 Days run is happening while I’m down here. I mean, in reality, Bethany orchestrated it so it did happen while I was here. Or, rather, while we were at LeakyCon. But, at the same time, it does always run at the beginning of every season, and this year it did the same thing, so really, not much changed.

Not even my overuse of commas.

It’s hard writing about being down here because there is so much to write, so I’ll just keep it brief and focus on our 7 Days photo for today.

I grew up near the ocean but now live quite far away from it, on the prairies. So, we made a quick trip to Ocean Beach this morning. I think the plan was to stay there longer than we did, but, uh, I kind of slept in.

It was so, so beautiful. I could have stayed there all day just staring at the water and the rocks and the pier. I have many more photos from there, but I’ll do a word/photo-vomit post when I get home.

7 days :: 3 :: the pacific

We took a couple shots so we’d have an option for our 7 Days one, but the top one won. I had just said something about being scared of falling, as we were on top of a rock wall with a small cliff behind us. Bethany said something like, “Oh, don’t worry. The rocks will break your fall.” I burst out laughing, and then the shutter snapped.

Uh, I wasn’t worried about the ocean, Bethany. I WAS WORRIED ABOUT THE ROCKS. Turd.

    Is it weird that you’re taller than I thought?

    I don’t know why, but I just thought you were on the shorter side and then seeing you next to Bethany, who I always thought was on the taller side, has switched things around.

      Hahahahahahaha. You’re in for a surprise when you meet me. I’m barely 5’2″! Brenda was really shocked at how short I was when she met me years ago. I think I must have a tall personality.
