I’m finding myself in a pattern of saving my 7 Days photo-taking until the end of the day. It’s not really procrastination so much as it’s that this week has been kind of crazy. Noah and I took a little break from The Crazy tonight and went to see The Social Network. He asked me earlier in the week if I minded if he went to see a movie. I figured he was talking about when his sister was here (she gets here tomorrow), but no, he was going to go by himself. I said I wouldn’t mind joining him, as it’s been a while since I left the house for something that was not work or groceries.
My mother-in-law came over to watch the girls while we were gone. Liliana was literally running around in circles when Miss Sue walked in the door. This is the part where it’s nice to live in the same city as grandparents because we can leave knowing that the girls are in good hands. Even though I had a long, very busy babysitting career starting when I was 12 and ending just before I had Kaylie, there’s no way I’d leave my kids with a young teenager. I’m a wee bit paranoid and over-protective.
Anyway, the movie was much better than I thought it would be. I was expecting something cheesy and annoying, but I left having actually enjoyed myself. Maybe it was because the the prelude music was Boney M’s Christmas album.
I figured that since I’ve included my face in the first four 7 Days photos, I can do an easy one.
Trader Joe’s Candy Cane Joe Joes + Christmas tree lights = festive!
I’d forgotten that today’s theme was “festive” and therefore forgot to tell Kaylie before she took her first 7 Days photo (below). She took the one above with the self-timer and I didn’t upload it until almost 11pm and didn’t see it necessary to drag her out of bed and ask her what she’d like to write for the description.
This pictures shows me doing one of my chores – drying the dishes after my dad washed them.
ps. Remind me to tell you about that incident this morning where the creepy old guy walked in on me in the bathroom of the clinic I was at for my glucose tolerance test this morning where the sign on the bathroom door reads DUE TO RECENT INCIDENTS, PEOPLE ARE ASKED TO USE THE BATHROOM ONE AT A TIME…
