I received a call from Russ the other day saying that even though it was before December, he was inviting us to watch the dress rehearsal of a Christmas play at The Barn Playhouse. We’d originally thought we’d bring the girls with us, but Liliana isn’t one for sitting still quietly. Then we figured it would go late, and Kaylie was already exhausted after school, so we kept her home to go to bed on time. Because we’re horrible parents. (We hadn’t told the girls about it yet, so we were good.)
Sue came over to hang out with the goobers tonight, and Noah and I took off with Russ. It was the first time Noah and me had been out there. I’m curious to see the rest of it in the daylight, but the part we saw in the dark was beautiful. The entrance was all lit up, and when we first walked in there was a huge homemade/craft area.
When the play started, I instantly missed the stage. I was involved in every play my high school did, and I did a few with the theatre in Terrace after Noah and I were married. I did my last one when I was pregnant with Liliana. I miss it.
The play was fantastic. It made me laugh, and it made me cringe a couple times. I definitely want to go back in the summer. If you live around here, I highly recommend you check it out.
And now, back to Boy Meets World.
