So everyone has seen this Gangnam Style video, right? I live in a youtube-less bubble, and the only time I see these things is if Noah shows them to me. And he did. Last night. Show me this one. It is an earworm and a half. See/hear for yourself:
You’re welcome. And I’m sorry.
Another song I’ve had in my head is that one on that Veggie Tales movie about the Good Samaritan.
’cause I’m busy, busy
more than a bumblebee
more than an ant
Not a Veggie Tales expert? Here ya go:
Again, you’re welcome. And I’m sorry.
September is killing me slowly. School pick-ups and drop-offs (which leaves the house blissfully quiet, but still), kid activities, weekend trips, thrice-nightly commitments, working, daytime commitments, volunteer commitments, fitting in baby naps, and the regular household/cooking/cleaning/gardening/keeping kids alive sorts of things. These are all good things, but things that keep me running from 6:30am to 10:00pm. And Preston and Liliana have been a bit under the weather (Liliana was up at least a dozen times last night), and I’m tired. And Noah’s going out of town today. It’s just one night, but I need a nap. A 24-hour nap.
I’ll stop whining now. I have it good. My experiences in the last 24 hours with those who do not have it good have given me some (more) perspective. I was in a foul, foul mood on Tuesday morning. Everything was going wrong, and I had a meeting that I had to take both little kids to. I wasn’t doing anything right. And I was getting into fights with the plastic wrap. I was tempted many times to just say I couldn’t make the meeting (which was about helping others), but I knew I had to. I couldn’t let my bad attitude, “bad life” (thank you, Liliana) get in the way. I made it to the meeting and it was such a blessing. And the kid I was most worried about causing a ruckus was a blessing to the others there. Totally a God thing. It was incredible.
When it was just me and Preston for the morning on Monday, I took him to the park at the girls’ school while we were waiting for Liliana to finish her first half-day-without-me of Kindergarten. I actually took photos with a real camera. I have not, however, edited them yet. Because I’m lazy. Or something. Okay, here’s one:
I was going through my photo folders last night, looking for a certain photo. I noticed many, many images that were not looked at, edited, or blogged. This is probably why I’ve been abusing Instagram lately. The pictures go directly to Flickr. Easy peasy. Like I said, I’m lazy.
So, how are you?
