Grace in Small Things #43

1. spending the early part of the morning assisting (and laughing with) the tech guys for the Watoto Children’s Choir from Uganda, Africa

2. the fact that they didn’t have the go-easy-on-her-because-she’s-pregnant attitude (it was quite refreshing, actually)

3. watching/listening to the choir sing

4. listening to Liliana sing along to one of their songs that she knew (I Am Not Forgotten)

5. hearing the stories of where the kids were (orphaned, living on the streets, eating garbage), where they are now (a children’s village), what their plans are for the future (lawyer, accountant, pilot, engineer), and seeing the genuine happiness on their faces – those uncontrollable, contagious smiles

Grace in Small Things is a social network that Schmutzie created to wage a battle against embitterment.

Isaac was still singing that song this afternoon. It’s one of his favorites:)
